Double room in London Hackney for £700 per month

I am a live-in landlord but the house is big enough for everyone to live independently if they wish. there are shared social spaces - the kitchen, the living room, a bathroom, shower room, study, utilities, garden - and at the moment only me and one other lodger who is here two days a week, but will probably not return until september. the rent includes everything and i don't require a deposit, just a month's rent in advance on the day you move in. i have lived in hackney for the last 45 years and in this house for the last 24, and have always had people living here besides the family, who are now living all over the world. as a lodger you don't have to be my best friend but i am quite sociable and open to sharing meals or drinks if you want. the rooms are lovely, light, clean, a good size, and fairly recently decorated. the area, if you don't know it, is a revelation to most people - a lovely open park at the bottom of the street, hackney marshes conservation area for walks, other green spaces very near by, international food stores open till late, boutique-type shops and reasonably-priced individual cafés and restaurants.

i require the usual references - identity, solvency, honesty - and you need to be working. i don't know how long it will be before you are able to visit potential places to live, but if you get in touch with me i can video you round the house and the rooms, and we can talk and get to know whether you think you would like to live here. obviously at the moment nobody goes out very much but i am normally often out of the house. i do have people round for scrabble matches sometimes and run the occasional small tournament.
